Jake LaMore

Jake LaMore

Born and raised in Manteno, IL, Jake (a.k.a Jacques) LaMore, comes from a farming family and was fed a healthy dose of country music as a kid spanning from Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Alabama and many others. Around age 10, Jake, began to learn his first instrument, which was trumpet. From then on, his love for music continued to grow in different genres and began learning other instruments such as bass, guitar, and even started singing. By age 13, LaMore, formed his own pop-rock/punk band, wrote many songs, recorded a few albums and EPs, and performed locally and toured nationally up until the band’s farewell in September 2015.

Jake, began his broadcasting career in July 2014 and was hired 5 months later to do the Mid-Day Show on River Country. It seemed only natural to return to his country roots. You can find him on River Country 101.7 & 103.7 FM from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, and Noon to 6:00 PM on Saturdays! His passion for music is present in his show and loves to share that passion and interact with the listeners.

Did we mention Jake also has an unhealthy obsession with pizza?
